SISTec holds hackathon on real-world problems

Sagar Group's SagarInstitute of Science and Technology  Ratibad (SISTec-R) Department of Computer Science & Engineering conducted a 24 hours SISTec Innovation Hackathon (SIH-2.0) under the banner of Computer Society of India Students Chapter.

The hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide a platform for students to solve some of the real world problems faced by various government departments, industries, private institutions and citizens in daily file with the objective to  inculcate a culture of product innovation and a problem-solving mindset.  The themes for the hackathon include Health Tech, Agri Tech, Edu Tech, Law & Order, Security, Smart City, Environment & Climate etc. 70 teams comprising of 350 students from various esteemed institutes like Vellore Institute of Technology, AMITY Noida, IIIT Bhopal etc. participated in the final round of the SIH-2.0.

Hackathon was inaugurated by  Sudhir Agrawal Chairman Sagar Group and Saurabh Mishra Associate Vice President of Lumenore as was the Chief Guest for the day.  Dwarika Singh was the Guest of Honour with Nikhil Dubey and Rajeev Shrivastava senior member of CSI Bhopal Chapter were present as special guest in the hackothon. Chairman of Sagar Group Sudhir Agrawal, Managing Director Siddharth Agrawal, Group Director SISTec Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh and Principal of SISTec Ratibad Dr. Manish Billore were also present on this occasion.

After three rounds of rigorous judgement by the experts from the organizations -  MPSEDC, ITSC Technologies, DRMZ Tech, Kuava Technologies, MP Police, and Cyber Cell of MP final results were declared. In a tie result for first position between the two teams,  SISTec  Ratibad  Team won the cash prize of Rs.25000/-. Second position was secured by Team GreyTech which won the cash Prize of money Rs.20000/- . Team Dev Tech Farm Solvers secured third position and won the cash Prize of Rs.15000/-.

 Amrit Meena AIG MP Police graced the hackothon as the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony. Yogesh Khakre COO B-Nest was the Guest of Honour, Founder Member of The Kabadiwal Kavindra Raghuwansh, and Apoorva Tiwari Consultant Grant Thomton were the special guests of the prize distribution ceremony.  Yogesh Khakre offered free incubation seat to the winner of SIH-2.0 at B-Nest incubation Center of Bhopal at Bhopal Smart City Office Premises.
