A two-day workshop on ISN evidence synthesis and meta-analysis was inaugurated today by Prof. (Dr) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, who emphasized the paramount importance of evidence-based medicine in the current medical landscape.
In his address, Prof Singh underscored the critical role of systematic reviews and meta-analysis in advancing medical research and clinical practice. "Systematic reviews and meta-analysis offer a structured approach to distill and synthesize disparate research findings, empowering healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care grounded in the best available evidence" he added.
Prof Singh also highlighted the commitment of the research cell at AIIMS Bhopal to promote rigorous research in this domain, recognizing it as pivotal for enhancing healthcare outcomes.
Joining the inaugural session virtually, Prof. (Dr) Meenu Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Rishikesh, emphasized the evolving significance of systematic reviews and meta-analysis over the past two decades.
She stressed the imperative for healthcare professionals to leverage these methodologies effectively in their practice, aligning with contemporary medical advancements. Prior to the inauguration, Prof. (Dr) Shikha Malik, in her welcoming address, unveiled plans for new courses to be initiated soon within the pediatric department. She expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and motivation provided by Prof. (Dr) Ajai Singh, which will catalyze increased research activities within the institution.
The workshop is organized by department of Pediatrics, AIIMS Bhopal in association with International Society of Nephrology.
