Kala Hiran Producer Amit Jani sends Legal Notice to Govind Namdev, demands apology and ₹50 Lakh

The controversy surrounding the upcoming film Kala Hiran has escalated further after producer Amit Jani issued a legal notice to veteran actor Govind Namdev, demanding a public apology and ₹50 lakh in compensation.
The dispute began after Govind Namdev publicly distanced himself from the project, stating that the final teaser and promotional material did not reflect the version of the film he had originally agreed to work on. He also alleged that he felt misled by the makers regarding the storyline.
In response, producer Amit Jani has now taken legal action, accusing the actor of making statements that he claims are damaging to the film’s reputation. As per reports, the notice asks Namdev to issue a public apology within seven days and pay compensation to the production house, failing which further legal proceedings may be initiated.
Kala Hiran has already been at the centre of multiple controversies due to its reported inspiration from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case linked to Salman Khan. The teaser and promotional material have drawn scrutiny for alleged similarities and character portrayals, leading to ongoing legal and public debates.
Earlier, the film had also faced backlash from other actors associated with the project, adding to the growing uncertainty around its production and release. The latest legal notice further intensifies the dispute, pushing the film deeper into controversy ahead of its release plans.
