Nagpur Air Force officer’s wife alleges rape, blackmail and forced conversion; 2 Arrested

A 24-year-old woman in Nagpur has alleged that she was raped, blackmailed, and forcibly subjected to religious conversion by two men and their associates, prompting police to arrest two accused and launch a wider investigation into the case.
According to the FIR, the woman, who is the wife of an Indian Air Force personnel, claimed that she was first drugged during a meeting in February 2025. She alleged that after losing consciousness, objectionable photos and videos were taken, which were later used to blackmail her.
The complainant further alleged that she was repeatedly sexually assaulted and extorted for money over several months. She has also accused the main accused of threatening to circulate the private videos if she resisted.
A viral video has emerged as key evidence in the case. It reportedly shows the woman crying and pleading with one of the accused to let her go while being restrained. Police are currently verifying the authenticity and context of the footage as part of their investigation.
The FIR also includes serious allegations of forced conversion rituals. The woman has claimed that she was taken to different locations, where she was pressured to recite religious phrases and made to undergo rituals against her will. She further alleged that a cleric was involved in declaring her conversion and arranging a so-called marriage ceremony.
Police have registered a case under multiple sections, including rape, extortion, blackmail, and provisions related to unlawful religious practices and alleged black magic. Two accused have been arrested, while teams have been dispatched to other states to trace additional individuals mentioned in the complaint.
Officials said electronic devices seized from the accused are being sent for forensic examination, which is expected to play a crucial role in the investigation.
The case remains under active investigation, with police stressing that all allegations will be examined based on evidence and forensic findings.
