BJP’s work culture rooted in service: VD Sharma

Tuesday, 17 June 2025 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

Madhya Pradesh BJP President VD Sharma said the TRAINING CAMP FOR mpS AND mla, which began with an inaugural address by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and concluded with remarks by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, served as a vital platform to strengthen ideological commitment and renew the resolve for public service among elected representatives. Sharma said that training is a continuous process in the BJP, setting it apart from other political organisations.

“In our organisation, every worker, office-bearer and public representative is service-oriented. For us, a post is not a matter of power, but responsibility,” he said, adding that BJP’s work culture ensures that its policies and governance models are always rooted in public service and national interest.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah elaborated on the party’s journey from the founding of the Jana Sangh in 1951 to the present day, offering historical perspective and strategic guidance to participants. In the concluding session, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recalled his tenure as national president, saying that despite holding high positions, he remains a worker at heart—a sentiment that resonated throughout the training.

The camp also featured sessions by several senior leaders including BJP National Joint General Secretary Shiv Prakash, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Gujarat BJP President CR Patil, National General Secretary Vinod Tawde, Regional General Secretary Ajay Jamwal, State In-Charge Dr Mahendra Singh, and State General Secretary Hitanand Sharma. The discussions covered a range of topics including coordination, problem-solving, public service challenges, and development opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav addressed a session on the theme of a ‘Developed Madhya Pradesh: Opportunities and Challenges.’

The camp laid special emphasis on equipping newly elected MPs and MLAs with the use of modern tools and techniques. Group discussions were held on effective public communication, and a session on digital outreach explored the theme, “Where am I on social media, and where should I be?” Apart from learning and introspection, the three-day camp also stressed environmental consciousness. The event was conducted entirely plastic-free, with participants using copper bottles and glasses for drinking water and avoiding plastic in food service. Cleanliness was strictly maintained throughout the premises. As part of the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign, all MPs and MLAs planted saplings at Pachmarhi’s Atal Vatika. Sharma said that a special committee was formed to manage logistics and conduct of the training event, and appreciated the discipline and enthusiasm of participants.

All BJP MPs and MLAs were invited, and barring one MP and fifteen MLAs who could not attend due to prior commitments or health issues, the turnout was near complete.

Sharma concluded by reiterating that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, BJP representatives in Madhya Pradesh are fully committed to taking forward the vision of ‘Antyodaya’ and contributing meaningfully to the goal of building a ‘Viksit Madhya Pradesh’ as part of the broader mission of a ‘Viksit Bharat.’
