Senior citizens shine at 'Gata Rahe Mera Dil' Competition

A singing competition titled ‘Gata Rahe Mera Dil’ was organized by Aastha Jamshedpur, exclusively for senior citizens. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 25 senior contestants showcasing their musical talents.

In the competition, Anita Rakshit secured the first position, while Syed Azizuddin claimed the second spot, and  Neelambar Chaudhary stood third. The jury panel comprised renowned city musicians B Krishna Rao, Biplab Mitra, and Krishna Sinha, who meticulously judged the performances. The welcome speech was delivered by Shatrughan Singh, while the stage proceedings were conducted by Anita Singh and Suraj Kumar Ray.

The event was graced by the presence of the President of the Senior Citizens Association,  Shivpujan Singh, as the chief guest. Special guests included the Honorary General Secretary of Tulsi Bhawan,  Prasanjit Tiwari, Anshu Sarkar of Yoga Sarkar Trust, social worker Poorvi Ghosh, along with social workers Amit Kumar, Shamim Ulfat, and Madhukar Ji.

Several key members of Aastha Jamshedpur attended the program, including patron Dr. Vibhuti Sharan, President Sumant Sinha, General Secretary Prashant Krishnan, Drama Secretary Anita Singh, Organization Secretary Shatrughan Singh, and Film Secretary Partho Bhattacharya. Other notable attendees included Kanchan, Anant Deepika Banerjee, Nivedita Srivastava, Babli Meera, Aarti Srivastava, Anurag, Sanjit, Roshan, Anshu, and Ankit, along with music lovers and artists from the city.
