Two Maoists on Sunday surrendered to security forces in Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh.
Deva Mandavi (52) and Hidma Mandavi (34) turned himself in, citing disappointment with the Maoist ideology, Dantewada Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai said.
The two were lower rung cadres of the outlawed Maoist organisation.
So far, 681 Maoists, including 173 carrying cash rewards, have quit violence in the district since June 2020.
