Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Friday, performed Rudrabhishek at Gorakhnath temple on the occasion of Mahashivratri and prayed for the welfare and prosperity of the people of the state.
Prior to this, the chief minister reached the Piteshwarnath temple in Bharohiya block in the Pipiganj area of Gorakhpur where he performed jalabhishek. He prayed for the wellbeing, salvation, success and peace of all people.
Deep ties exist between Gorakshpeeth and the Piteshwarnath temple. Every Mahashivratri, the Gorakshpeethadhishwar visits this place to perform jalabhishek.
Following this, Chief Minister Adityanath interacted with the local representatives and people at Guru Gorakhnath Vidyapeeth, wishing for their wellbeing and blessing the children.
Addressing developmental issues, the chief minister asked officials to ensure unhindered progress at the local level.
After this, the chief minister performed Lord Shiva’s Rudrabhishek with cow milk and sugarcane juice in Shakti Mandir on the first floor of Gorakhnath temple. Subsequently, he performed ‘havan’ and ‘aarti’ and then prayed to Mahadev for the wellbeing of the entire world.
The chief minister also offered prayers at the Shiva temple located in the Gorakhnath temple complex. He worshiped Lord Nandi here and performed jalabhishek of Lord Shiv.
After completing the Mahashivratri rituals at Gorakhnath temple, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath proceeded to the Mansarovar temple, where he performed another jalabhishek.
