A four-year-old girl, who was missing for three days, was found murdered and her body dumped in a garbage dump in Rampur.
The body was mutilated with one of her legs chopped off below the knee and the other above the knee. Both legs are missing. The face was also crushed probably to conceal her identity. She was the only child of her parents.
Superintendent of Police of Rampur, Rajesh Dwivedi, inspected the crime scene and also summoned the dog squad and forensic team to help police in tracking down the criminals involved in the brutal murder. Police have detained five members of a family on the basis of suspicion.
Reports said that at 3 o'clock last Sunday afternoon, Danish Ali, a resident of Dhavni Hasanpur village, gave a complaint to the police, in which he expressed apprehension of the kidnapping of his four-year-old daughter, Anaija. He said that the girl had gone to a grocery store in the neighbourhood on Sunday morning to buy something and did not return home; she was searched in the village as well as the nearby villages, but she was not found anywhere.
On Tuesday morning, people who went to dump garbage in an empty plot in the village saw the body of a girl child lying wrapped in a sack. Within a short time, a crowd gathered there. Later the police and family members of the missing girl also reached the spot. They took out the body of the innocent child from the sack. The victim was identified as missing Anaija.
In-charge Inspector Balwan Singh also reached the village with a police force. Based on the suspicion of the relatives, the grocery store owner of the village, his wife, son and two daughters were taken into custody.
SP Rajesh Dwivedi also inspected the spot and talked to the girl’s father and assured him of all possible help. The SP said that on receiving information about the innocent girl’s disappearance on Sunday, an FIR was registered and the police were continuously searching for her.
The reason for the murder of the innocent child could also be black magic. Villagers say that five people from the same family who were taken into custody by the police, were experts in black magic and they used to perform these tasks very well.
Seeing the condition of the body, everyone in the village was shocked.
