During the Ram Navami procession, a major accident occurred in Lohardaga when a pickup vehicle loaded with DJ overturned and kept running to a distance of about 50 metres. A girl died in the incident, while more than a dozen people were injured. The condition of half a dozen is said to be critical and were referred to RIMS after first aid at Sadar Hospital. Regarding the incident, it was told that the team of Lohardaga BID locality had participated in the procession of Ram Navami. A pickup vehicle loaded with DJ was also running in the team. Suddenly, as soon as it reached Rana Chowk, the pickup stalled due to heavy load and suddenly picked up speed due to which more than a dozen people were hit and this tragic accident happened. Suddenly there was chaos. The deceased girl is said to be from Lohardaga RIADA locality.
The police administration and local citizens played an active role and immediately took the injured to the hospital. It is not yet known who are the injured. The procession and procession have been stopped. There is a wave of mourning in the entire Lohardaga. All senior police and administration officials including DC, SP are on alert mode.
