The nomination of independent candidate AK Jilani from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat has been cancelled. Jilali has called it a conspiracy by the ruling BJP.

He said that there is no expectation of relief from the Commission. Therefore they will take the matter to court.

The first phase of Lok Sabha elections has been completed in the state. The second phase of voting is to be held tomorrow, Thursday. But, meanwhile, a demand has been raised to postpone the elections on Bhopal Lok Sabha seat included in the third phase. A complaint has been made to the Election Commission regarding this. Besides, preparations are also being made to approach the court demanding postponement of the elections.

The nomination phase for Bhopal Lok Sabha elections, which is included in the third phase, has ended. Scrutiny of nomination papers has also been done. In this process, the nomination papers of AK Jilani, who had filed nomination as an independent candidate from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat, have been cancelled. The Returning Officer has issued this order considering Jilani's nomination as not in accordance with the provisions of Section 33 of the Public Representation Act 1951.

Jilani termed the cancellation of nomination papers as a conspiracy and said that it was a decision taken under the pressure of the ruling party.

He sais that the Returning Officer did not give proper guidance while submitting the nomination. Due to which some shortcomings remained in the nomination papers and on the basis of them his nomination papers have been cancelled. Jilani has complained to the Chief Electoral Officer regarding this matter. He has demanded that action should be taken against this disorder.

Independent candidate Jilani, after complaining to the Election Commission, said in a discussion with the media that he does not expect any relief from the Commission. Therefore they will take this matter to court.

Jilani said that he has full faith in the judiciary of the country and will get justice from the court.

He said that he is going to demand from the court to postpone the Bhopal Lok Sabha elections. Jilani has termed the cancellation of his nomination as a conspiracy by BJP. The reason is that BJP is worried about the weak position of its candidate, due to which they are conspiring against the strong candidates by using the government machinery. Jilani has warned BJP that if the conditions do not improve then they will now file nomination from Indore Lok Sabha also.
