The Ganjam District Bar Association election was conducted successfully in Brahmapur on Saturday. While advocate Nayan Chandra Mohapatra was elected as president, Ramprasad Panda was elected as vice president, Biranchi Narayan Mohapatra as secretary and Girija Shankar Behera was elected as joint secretary.
Apart from Nayan, Manoj Patnaik, Pradeep Kumar Panda and Jagat Mohan Patnaik contested for the post of president. Similarly for the post of vice president, Ramprasad Panda and Anil Kumar Panda contested, for secretary, the contestants were Biranchi Narayan Mohapatra, T Venkat Rao, Jyoti Prasad Chotoray, Baijayanti Mala Padhy, Sudhir Kumar Mishra and Titu Kumar Patro. Girija Shankar Behera and Asit Kumar Sabata contested for joint secretary post.
