lt Gen Sanjeev Madhok took over Command of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) as the 17th General Officer Commanding-in-Chief here on Friday.
With a penchant for innovation and a strong will to act decisively, ARTRAC is expected to benefit from the experience of the the Army Commander.

ARTRAC carries the responsibility of evolving and articulating operational
doctrines, concepts and philosophies as an expression of the Army's new approach to war-fighting in the emerging hi-tech environment.
lt Gen Madhok joined the 47th Course at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Jan 1972.
He was commissioned into 15 GUARDS in Dec 1975. He has held varied staff appointments at all levels in various HQ of the Indian Army.
He also has vast operational and administrative
experience and has served in UN Missions.
He was on deputation to a United Nations Mission in Iran / Iraq (UNIIMOG) as Senior Operations Officer in 1990-1991. He has also had tenure with the Ministry of External Affairs in 2006, where he was responsible for raising the office of Director (Security Affairs), Eurasia Division.
