Award for state young poet
Ranchi: Jharkhand’s young poet Jacinta Kerketta will be felicitated with Ravishankar Upadhyay Smriti Kavita Puraskaar on May 19. Kerketta had been writing poems and articles for various magazines and newspapers since her school days. She was born in West Singhbhum in 1983 and is presently pursuing her post graduation in Mass Communication from Ranchi University. Also, she marks the records of undergoing many researches on Maoists and tribal rights within the state. Previously, Former Ranchi University VC Ram Dayal Munda and Central University of Bihar faculty member Anuj logon have been felicitated with the award.
Interactive session for parents at DPS
Ranchi: DPS Principal Ram Singh interacted with the parents of the students at the school on Sunday and assured to provide necessary facilities. He requested the parents to make sure that their children reach school on time and prove to be punctual in the academic atmosphere. This according to Singh will help in character building.
CM meets teachers
Ranchi: Members of Rashtriya Shekshik Mahasangh met CM Raghubar Das on Sunday. They were here since Saturday to participate in the national level meet of their organization which concluded on Sunday.
As many as 50 teachers from various state universities of Jharkhand besides other universities participated here and discussed on the present condition of higher, secondary and primary education in the country.
