Bound by destiny?

A promise leads to the creation of a strong emotional bond between two individuals on Zee TV’s forthcoming show Yeh Vaada Raha. Arjita Mishra speaks to lead actors

We have some relationships in our life with which we are connected from our birth and then some relationships we make of our own choice. The new show Yeh Vaada Raha on Zee TV would explore the relationship between two people, a relationship made on a promise given to someone.

The show will have Roshini Walia and Ankush Arora in lead. Walia is a well known child artist. She will be essaying the role of Survi whereas Arora has done a few shows but this will be his first show in lead. He will portray the role of Kartik. This show will also have other talented actors like Rinku Karmarkar who will play the role of Taayi, wife of a local don. She is returning to the small screen after a gap of two years. We will also see Pankaj Vishnu playing role of Survi’s father, Shrikant and Ajay Paul will be seen playing local don Bhau.

The show Yeh Vaada Raha is slated to go on air from September 21.

“The story revolves around a 19-year-old Kartik who is nephew of a local don and nine-year-old Survi who is a daughter of an honest chawl dweller. They bound together by a promise made by kartik to Survi’s father,” said Walia when asked about the plot of the show.

When asked whether in the show they will be seen romancing or they will be playing brother-sister, Walia said smiling, “This will be a surprise for our audience that we (Kartik and Survi) are portraying brother-sister or friends in the show.”

Walia is very excited about the show, “I am very excited as the show will be launched on the next day of my birthday. It’s like my birthday gift. Time slot is very good as everyone is free at that time. It’s really very nice show and everyone must see it,” said Walia.

“I am very excited about the show as I will be playing a lead role. Before this I have done various shows but from this show everyone will come to know who I am. I am working hard to get the correct diction as I am playing a Maharashtrian guy,” shared Arora with us.

Arora, a Delhi boy, studied Mass Communication from Amity University. He told us that his father wanted him to be a news anchor. He had also given interview in a news channel but he failed. Arora had worked in TV serials like Gustakh Dil, Savdhan India, Gumrah and Yeh Hai Ashiqui.

“If ever I get a chance to work in Bollywood I would love to do roles like Vivek Oberoi had done in Company and Shootout At lokhandwala,” said Arora.

“I am in the golden period of my life  and I am enjoying my work a lot. Everyone had loved me as Ajabde Punwar in Maharana Pratap. I would try to maintain the same level of standard and will never disappoint my fans,”  said Walia with a constant smile on her face.
