Auqaf-e-Shahi acquires building in Makkah

Auqaf-e-Shahi Mutawalliah Saba Sultan has claimed that the Auqaf-e-Shahi has acquired a building for Rubat in Makkah Mukarramah and has changed the Saudi Nazir and appointed a Bhopali origin Wakeel Nazir Suhail Nasser Al Madani.

Saba Sultan while talking to media persons here on Monday said, “I am very much pleased to announce that with the grace of Allah, Auqaf-e-Shahi has succeeded in acquiring the newly constructed building having capacity to accommodate 230-240 persons with all the modern, civic amenities for Hajis from Bhopal by utilizing partly the funds which were lying locked up un-utilized with the Chief Qazi of Makkah for over twelve years as compensation towards acquisition of old Rubats by government for expansion of Haram.”

 Saba Sultan further said, “I also wish to announce that efforts have been initiated to secure another Rubat building - commercial cum residential, preferably as close to Haram as possible by utilizing the balance amount of compensation amount lying with Saudi Authorities.”

She said we have changed the Saudi Nazir and appointed a Bhopali origin Wakeel Nazir Suhail Nasser Al Madani as per the wishes of the Waqif. Most of our buildings at Medina including the building housing the pilgrims from Bhopal during Haj and Umrah have been marked for demolition under the Darb-e-Sunnah project at Medina. Accordingly a new building for accommodating Hajis from Bhopal is to be arranged on an emergent basis for the Haj 2016. The modalities for arranging the buildings shall be decided by taking into account the situation in the real property scenario obtaining as on date in Medina by the Executive Committee Member who due to visit Saudi Arabia shortly for review and update of the arrangement both at Medina and Makkah, she added.

She said the people of Bhopal would find a relief and pleasure in the news that about 34 acres of land around Shahi Qabrastan which was adversely claimed by the Government has been declared by the Waqf Tribunal to be the Waqf property belonging to Auqaf-e-Shahi. The efforts are on for a long term planning to develop the said property, other than the Qabrastan area to generate income for better maintenance of the various Masjid and for undertaking projects in the field of education and health care of the needy persons of Bhopal, she added.

She said the extension of Sufia Masjid to accommodate large gathering at Friday and Id prayers is also under active consideration. Northern and Southern gates of Jama Masjid need certain repairs which are being planned. Also the proposal for renovation of the old post office buildings nearby, with a view to generating to regular income is also under active consideration, she added.
