Mountain Strike Corps celebrates 2nd Raising Day

India’s First Mountain Strike Corps, the Brahmastra Corps, celebrated its second Raising Day on Friday and Saturday. lt Gen lalit Kumar Pandey, AVSM, SM, GOC 17 Corps graced the occasion and addressed all ranks during a Special Sainik Sammelan.

lt Gen Pandey commended the officers and men for their selfless dedication, commitment and allegiance towards ensuring that this newly raised Brahmastra Corps is fully functional and ready for the operational challenges within two years of its raising, according to a Press release issued by the Brahmastra corps headquarters. lt Gen Pandey extolled them for laying a sound foundation over which one of the mightiest Formations of the Indian Army would build its capabilities and deter any misadventure by our adversaries. The celebrations included a Mandir Parade and Sainik Sammelan by the Corps Commander. Saplings were planted to commemorate occasion. All the events were celebrated with austere and grace in the true tradition of the Indian Army.
