“It is yet another unique show and will surely be loved by the audience,” said veteran actor Vivek Mushran.

Notably the television actors Vivek Mushran and Kanwar Dhillon were in the city on Wednesday to talk on their upcoming show, ‘Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee’ and their characters in the show.

While addressing the media persons, Vivek said, “Star Plus has always created memorable iconic characters; be it Sandhya, Ishita or Akshara. Every character has left its unique mark and has been widely loved by the viewers. From the same brand comes yet another progressive thinking character ‘Aastha’ who has a different perspective on faith, she believes that serving humankind is the way to serve god.”

He said that the show ‘Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee’ is a latest offering from the palette of ‘STAR Plus Dopahar’.

While talking about the story line of the upcoming serial, he said that the show is set in Manali and Kolkata.

The show is a story of a simple girl ‘Aastha’ who belongs to a middle class family and lives with her mother.

She uses the very rituals and practices that the devotees follow to help the needy, without hurting their sentiments.

Aastha’s role is being essayed by Tina Ann Philip, a fresh face from london who gave up her career of chartered accountancy to follow her passion for acting. Joining Tina is Kanwar Dhillion as ‘Shiv’ as the male protagonists.

The show also features an ensemble cast with veteran like Mansi Salvi in key roles.
