On the occasion of the 118th birth anniversary of Maa Rama Devi, a Sakuntala Panda Memorial Reading Room was inaugurated at the Rama Devi Women’s University here on Sunday.
Chief guest Padmashree Priyambada Mohanty Hejmadi inaugurated in the presence of Central University of Orissa, Koraput Vice-Chancellor Prof Sachidananda Mohanty and Rama Devi Women’s University Vice-Chancellor Prof Padmaja Mishra.
The state-of-the-art reading room has been set up with a donation of `50 lakh by eminent administrator Harihar Panda to perpetuate the memory of his deceased wife Sakuntala Panda, an eminent editor and well-known writer in Odia literature.
