Snooker, billiards training hall inaugurated in TT Nagar stadium

It is happy news for the snooker and billiards players of the city. A newly constructed snooker and billiards training hall was inaugurated here on Monday at TT Nagar stadium.

It is to be noted that the training hall was inaugurated by Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Yashodhara Raje Scindia. After the inauguration, Scindia gave floral tribute to one of the greatest hockey players of the country Major Dhyan Chand.

Besides, to mark the inauguration of newly constructed Snooker and Billiards training hall, International snooker player Kamal Chawla was also present on the occasion. Moreover, the Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Upendra Jain will also be present during the event.

While addressing the programme Kamal Jain appreciated the works being done by Sports and Youth Welfare Department. He said that Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Yashodhara Raje Scindia is taking steps for the development of sports in the State.

In the similar chain the snooker and billiards training hall is not less than a present for the players. He also said that he will always be there to provide guidance to the players.

Further, Upendra Jain said that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as an idol state in sports and the players are bringing laurels to the State by achieving success in international platforms.

later, a district level Badminton tournament was inaugurated. Scindia interacted with the players and encouraged them to give their best during the tournament. She also congratulated players Aditi Verma who recently won the title of Best Zone Champion and Tanishka Verma for grabbing the modeling assignments.

Meanwhile, a friendly match of hockey was played between the teams of Hockey Academy and Bhopal Hockey at Major Dhyan Chand Hockey stadium to mark the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand.

The team of Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy emerged as the winner of the match. The team won the match by 6-1. Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Upendra Jain felicitated the winner team with a trophy.
