Monday, 24 September 2018 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

BJP national president Amit Shah will inaugurate the three-day national executive meeting of the BJP Mahila Morcha at Puri on Monday.

Ahead of executive meeting, Morcha’s national office-bearers’ meeting was held on Sunday evening.

Around 200 women office-bearers from across the country would attended the meeting, informed an official release.

According to the schedule, Shah would first attend the women workers’ conference and discuss various issues with them at Puri. Later, he would inaugurate the executive meeting at 3 pm.

Among senior leaders, Union Ministers Jual Oram, Dharmendra Pradhan, State president Basanta Panda, BJP Legislature Party Leader KV Singh Deo would attend the meeting, informed Morcha national president Vijaya Rahatkar at a Press meet here.

“The Odisha Government is anti-women. It has failed provided health, education and security to women.

A Mahila Yatra had been taken out to make women aware about the State Government’s failure. As it achieved a bih success, the national executive was scheduled in Odisha,” said Rahatkar.

She said three resolutions of political, women policy and condolences on sad demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, would be taken up during the meeting.

A broad discussion would be held against failures of the BJD Government on different fronts relating to women, she said.

While the Narendra Modi Government’s pro-women programmes like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, ‘Mudra’, ‘Swachh Bharat’, ‘Sukanya Samruddhi’, Ujjwala Yojana have benefitted crores of people across the country, the Naveen Patnaik Government in Odisha has remained mute spectators to the rising violence against women, alleged Rahatkar.

Among others, State Mahila Morcha president Pravati Parida, former Minister Surama Padhee, State secretary Lekhashree Samantsinghar and general secretary Babita Patra were present.
