Governor-cum-Chancellor of State-run universities Droupadi Murmu on Friday made appointments for the posts of vice-chancellors of two universities and pro-vice chancellors of three universities. The appointments include VCs for the two newly formed universities Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi and Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University, Dhanbad.
University Professor, Department of Anthropology, Ranchi University, Satya Narayan Munda has been made the new Vice Chancellor of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi, while University Professor, Department of Botany, Ranchi University, Anjani Kumar Srivastava has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University, Dhanbad.
University Professor, Department of Mathematics, Ranchi University, Anil Kumar Mahto has been appointed as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University, Dhanbad and Professor, Marwari College, PG Department of Bhagalpur, Pawan Kumar Poddar has been made the Pro VC of Nilamber Pitamber University, Daltonganj.
The Governor also appointed University Professor of Botany, Ranchi University, Hanuman Prasad Sharma as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Sido Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka. According to a notification issued by the Governor’s Secretariat, the appointments have been made from the date they assume the charge of office.
