Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav would prove to be the last leader of Saifai dynasty to rule UP.
Maurya said the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress had used Other Backward Classes as their vote bank for several decades to capture power in UP but paid no attention on their social welfare.
Maurya said Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav was no longer the leader of the “Yadav samajâ€. He said the SP chief was the leader of Yadav community of a particular area.
Maurya said the Bahujan Samaj Party had also become a family enterprise while in the Bharatiya Janata Party, a booth committee president and district president of the party could not only aspire but also become the national president of the party.
Maurya on Sunday addressed a meeting of the OBC wing of the party in which he felicitated the newly-elected Lok Sabha members from the OBC community.
Maurya also targeted Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati for giving important position in the party to her brother and nephew. He said only the family members of the top leader in SP, BSP and the Congress could occupy top posts in the party. He said for this reason, the voters of UP had rejected the SP, BSP and Congress while the BJP became their first preference.
Outlining the BJP agenda for the bypolls to 12 Assembly seats in UP, Maurya said the target was to poll 60 percent votes in each polling booth of the 12 Assembly constituencies. Dismissing the SP, BSP as rivals, Maurya said, “The SP and BSP in alliance could do nothing so they pose no challenge to BJP as they will contest the by-election separately.†He said in the bypolls, these three parties would be wiped out.
Maurya said the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party had no future in the state for the next five decades as the voters of UP had rejected them in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
Maurya maintained that the BJP got clear majority in the Lok Sabha only with the overwhelming support of the OBCs in UP and other states. He said the OBCs would continue to support the BJP in the by-election to 12 UP Assembly seats as they had supported the party in 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
