‘Arpa Pairi Ke Dhaar’ notified official song

Government of Chhattisgarh has declared Chhattisgarhi song ‘Arpa Pairi Ke Dhaar, Mahanadi he apaar’, written by Dr Narendra Dev Verma as state's official song.

A gazette notification in this regard was published on November 18, notifying the popular song as ‘State Song’.

The General Administration Department, after the notification has issued circular to all the government departments, chairman Revneue Board, head of departments, divisional commissioners and district collectors to ensure singing of the ‘State Song’ at the opening of every government programme. Dr Narendra Dev Verma is the father-in-law of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and was a literary figure in the state. This song, which depicted a complete picture of Chhattisgarh, is being sung in several events on regular basis.
