Acting on the increasing number of complaints against the cyber cafes where citizens are being charged arbitrarily, the Regional Transport Office is planning to connect Common Services Centres (CSCs) with SARATHI and VAHAN software. Citizens can apply online directly from their nearest CSC for the 13 different services for just Rs 30.
Regional transport officer Dinesh Pathoi said, “In order to put a stop on the arbitrary rates of cyber cafe owners we are connecting VAHAN and SARATHI softwares with CSCs. In the initial stage we are connecting five CSCs in Rajpur Road area. This will help citizens to use our facilities at lowest possible rates rather than the higher rates that cyber cafes charge.”It is pertinent to mention here that RTO has been receiving complaints regarding the high rates for online application that citizens have to pay after RTO digitalised application procedures in the region.
