BJP think tank releases Modi Govt’s 100-day report card

Public Policy Research Center (PPRC), BJP’s think tank, on Monday released a comprehensive report on 100 major decisions and initiatives taken by Modi Government in first 100 days. Releasing report, MP and vice-president, BJP Vinay Sahasarabuddhe said resolve of the Government is evident from the fact that the first session of new Government was the most productive one.

The productivity of the first session was 137 per cent for Lok Sabha and 103 per cent for Rajya Sabha. 28 bills introduced and passed in the same session by the both houses, highest in any season in the past decade. 

Lauding the work done by Modi - Shah government, BJP leader said that defining feature of this government is the unshakeable political will to settle long standing issues and contentious issues, both political and economic, in national interest and bring peace and harmony to the nation.

Talking about abrogation of Article 370 and reorganisation of Jammu & Kashmir into two Union Territories, the BJP leader said the attempt not only break the mental barriers and united the people of India but has also unleashed opportunities for the growth and development of the region.

The move has realised the philosophy of 'Ek Desh Mein Do Vidhan Do Pradhaan Aur Do Nishan Nahi Chalenge'articulated by Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee," he added.

 Dr Sumeet Bhasin, who conducted the research in PPRC said that the government had in the previous term itself undertaken to correct a historic wrong meted out to Muslim women and ensured the passage of Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act 2019 criminalising the practice of triple talaq within first 100 days of its second term.

"It also rectifies the gross injustice done to Muslim women by then establishment in the Shah Bano case," he said. 

Other decision made by the Modi government including , creation of Defence Staff,  fight against terrorism passing of The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Act, 2019 and The National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Act, 2019 also highlighted in 100 milestones in 100 hundred days.
