Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Tuesday brushed aside a query on his Power Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is yet to take over the charge of the Department.
Sidhu was divested of Local Government and Tourism Departments in June 6 cabinet reshuffle, following which he has gone incommunicado, and has not taken over the charge of his new Ministry.
When Capt Amarinder was asked about the prevailing situation of Sidhu not joining the Power Department while talking with the media on the sidelines of an event to honour state’s sporting icons, the Chief Minister plainly pass by the query.
The ongoing impasse between the state’s two leaders has caused a lot of embarrassment not only to the Congress party but also to the State Government.
