A digital poster for feature film ‘Biju Babu’ was released here on Wednesday. Based on legendary Biju Patnaik’s ideologies, beliefs and philosophy, the poster was released by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Dr Nila Madhab Panda, who is also the presenter-cum-producer of the film.
The release took place as part of a live music recording session at the Saraswata Studios, Khandagiri, conducted by top Ollywood composer and music director for this film, Prem Anand, in the presence of the producers and other crew members. The famous Singhabaja Group from Dhenkanal led by Dibya performed live to the signature track of the movie ‘Biju Babu’.
Speaking on the occasion, Panda said, “I have always been a proud Odia, and this is a matter of immense pride for me to present my State with my first Odia Feature Film and that is on Biju Babu. Biju Babu wasn’t just an iconic leader, but is an ideology and a statement all by himself. In this movie, we’ve tried capturing the essence of everything he stood for and fought for, all for the sake of us Odia people. The film will be released close to Utkal Divas, on March 29, 2019.â€
He said audience would see a fresh perspective to Odia nationalism in the film and hoped that all Odia people would watch and enjoy the movie.
The lead actors are Ollywood superstar Anubhav Mohanty and sensational Supriya Nayak. This film is co-produced by Manav Rath, Barnali Rath and Anuj Tyagi. The story, screenplay and direction are by Devi Prasad Lenka and Vishal Mourya.
