Jabalpur's Muskan Kirar brought laurels in World Archery tourney

In the World Archery Competition Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy, Jabalpur's talented player Muskan Kirar brought laurels to the country and the state by winning bronze medal in the team event.

Muskan Kirar brought the medal to the country at the Women Compound Team event. The competition was held in the Netherlands.

Representing the Indian team in the final match between India and Turkey, Archery Academy's player Muskan Kirar, Jyoti Surekha of Petroleum Sports Promotion Board and Rajkaur, Punjab's player Rajkor got bronze medal with a total of 229-225 points. Chinese Taipei first and USA players remain second Earlier, in the quarterfinals of the team event played, India defeated the Netherlands by getting 219-213 points. In the pre-quarterfinals, India beat France 226-236. In the semi-finals played between USA and India, India was behind one point and USA won the match with 227 points.Muskan also performed brilliantly in individual competition. In the third round, he defeated Norwegian player 145-142 points and in the pre-quarter finals, South African player was beaten by 145-141 points.

Appreciating the talent performance of the Archery Academy's player Muskan Kirar, the State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister, Jitu Patwari has congratulated him. He said that in the world archery competition Muskan Kirar performed brilliantly and gave the medal to the country and enhanced the pride of Madhya Pradesh which we are proud of.

Director Sports and Youth Welfare S L. Thoussen also lauded his outstanding performance by expressing happiness on this achievement earned by Smile Kishor at international level.
