CTB GM suspended on corruption charges

The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) on Thursday suspended General Manager Sanjay Singh in Raipur on charges of corruption.

An order issued by the Department's Managing Director said that Sanjay Singh in 2007-08, while working as Senior Tourism Officer/Deputy General Manager, was found to have indulged in largescale financial irregularities and showed laxity in work.

A Departmental Probe Commissioner, Raipur, has been appointed as the probe officer. A case, which is under process, has been registered at Chhattisgarh Lok Ayog.

The order said that Sanjay Singh has been suspended with immediate effect. During suspension, his    headquarters will be the Tourism Information Centre, Jagdalpur. During his suspension period, he will receive his life sustenance allowance.
