Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday said the government is making continuous efforts to ensure quality and excellent education to every child.

Baghel was addressing the virtual inauguration of Swami Atmanand Government English School, Mungeli, built for Rs 5 crores.

He released a ‘Career Guide’ published by the Mungeli district administration. He also interacted with students of the school.

Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik, School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam and others were present.

Baghel said the chain of Swami Atmanand English medium schools had been set up to remove the inequalities of opportunities in education and for the poorest children of the state to get facilities like those in private schools.

Last year, 52 Swami Atmanand English medium schools were established. This year, 119 more will open, taking the number in the state to 171.
