‘Kolar reservoir area will be developed for tourism’

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during discussion with the members of the Cabinet in the Forest department’s rest house at Kolar Dam on the development of the state, prompt implementation of the roadmap of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh, implementation of departmental schemes, good governance, public welfare etc.

During the discussion, he expressed happiness over the departmental preparations made by the ministers and said that if work continues in the state with the same enthusiasm and speed, then the day is not far when Madhya Pradesh will be the best state in India.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Kolar reservoir area is full of natural beauty and attracts tourists easily. In terms of tourism, the Kolar reservoir area will be developed like Hanuvantiya.

Chouhan said during the discussion with Home Minister Narottam Mishra that effective action is being taken against various mafias in the state. The recently introduced Religious Freedom Ordinance will prove to be a boon for girls. The government will soon introduce a new law for strict action against stone-pelting. Home Minister Narottam Mishra informed the Chief Minister about the departmental activities in detail.

During the discussion with Public Service Management Minister Arvind Bhadoria, Chief Minister Chouhan said that good governance is our top priority in the state. Good governance means that the services are received in a stipulated time period without any give and take from the public. For this, people do not have to wander from pillar to post. Public service guarantee scheme is being implemented well in the state.

Chouhan said during the discussion with Health Minister Prabhuram Chaudhary that free medical facilities of up to Rs five lakhs are provided to every poor under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the state. It is a matter of joy that this scheme has been well implemented in Madhya Pradesh and more than 1.70 crore cards have been made. The Chief Minister said that people should also be made aware about the scheme so that they can take full advantage of it.

Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises O.P. Sakhlecha during the discussion with Chief Minister Chouhan informed that clusters of furniture, confectionery, readymade garments etc. are being developed near Indore. Around two thousand industrial units will be set up in Malwa region by the end of this year, which will provide employment to one lakh people. Chief Minister Chouhan appreciated the work and said that efforts should be made to invite maximum investment in every district. IT parks of Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore, Gwalior will be further developed and more and more jobs will be created from them.

The Chief Minister said during the discussion with Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav that the names of colleges in Madhya Pradesh should be named after great persoanlities. Yadav told Chief Minister Chouhan that Madhya Pradesh is the only state in India where undergraduate and postgraduate examinations were conducted during the Corona period.

There are plans to start 200 new colleges in the state in the coming time. This will include animal husbandry and agricultural colleges also. “Placement Officers” are being created in every district to provide maximum employment to educated youth through employment fairs. Self-finance has been permitted to 732 colleges in the state.
