Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday received information about the second phase of Shri Mahakal Maharaj Mandir Complex Expansion Scheme at the auditorium of Triveni Museum in Ujjain.
Collector Ashish Singh through a power point presentation informed that the Maharajwada complex would be developed as a heritage dharamshala. The area between Maharajwada and the temple will also be included in the temple complex. Earlier the school operated here has been shifted elsewhere.
In the Rudra Sagar renovation, such nullahs, from where the sewer line water was getting into Sagar, are being diverted to another place. 90 percent of the work has been completed in this. Arrangements will be made to bring water from Kshipra River into Rudra Sagar when it dries up completely. Around 1500 trees will also be planted around it.
In the beautification of Ramghat, attractive lighting arrangements will be made on all the major temples and chhatris of Ramghat. The old stones will be painted and uniformity will be provided to all the temples and chhatris.
Under the expansion of the Mahakal temple complex, the government schools of the area have been shifted elsewhere. The western route of Rudra Sagar is also being developed. A new sewer line is being laid.
In the development of Meghdoot Van (Mannat Garden Land), the land near the road leading to the top of Hariphatak Bridge has been freed from land mafia. Open parking will be made here.
Under the emergency entry, exit gate and Shikhar Darshan project, people can be evacuated outside the temple premises in a short time. The new waiting room of the Mahakal temple will be located in the temple premises. Its area has been increased. Audio guides will be installed at various places in the Mahakal Mandir Corridor, where stories related to Shiv Purana will be narrated. Mahakal Foot Bridge will be constructed near Chardham tank. A musical fountain will be installed in Rudra Sagar.
