A three-day ‘Guru Darshan Mela’ at Giraudpuri Dham in Baloda Bazar district of Chhattisgarh will be held from March 7 to 9.
Guru Vijay Kumar announced the dates at a meeting held at Baloda Bazar district conference hall on Sunday. Cabinet Minister Guru Rudra Kumar, family members of Guru and officials were present, an official communication said.
Addressing the meeting, Guru Rudra Kumar said the district administration should ensure adequate basic facilities during the fair period as lakhs of devotees are expected.
The annual event is held at Giraudpuri Dham, the birthplace of the founder of Santnami Path, Guru Ghasidas. The Dham is situated at the confluence of Mahanadi and Jonk rivers, 40 km from Baloda Bazar.
