DRT, Ranchi recovers Rs 3.43 Cr of PNB

 

An amount of Rs 3.43 Crore was recovered through the process of auctioning and sale of mortgaged assets in the bank on 06.01.2022 and 21.01.2022 by Kanhaiya Kumar, Recovery Officer of Debt Recovery Tribunal, Ranchi in the old NPA account of Shree Dwarikadhish Udyog Pvt Ltd at Divisional Office Ranchi North, Punjab National Bank. Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank, Sanjay Kumar Sinha said that for a long time no recovery was being done in this account. In this auction process, Punjab National Bank got Rs 3.43 crore today. The officers of the bank today received the amount recovered by auction from Recovery Officer Kanhaiya Kumar through cheque and draft. Rajeev Kumar Singh, Senior Manager, Punjab National Bank informed that till now Rs 5 crore has been recovered in this account through Debt Recovery Tribunal. He said that this is a good sign, due to the prompt action taken by the tribunal; the banks are recovering the stuck money.

 

Inter-Steel Plant Cricket Championship begins

The Inter-Steel Plant Cricket Championship organized under the aegis of Steel Plants Sports Board (SPSB) was inaugurated by BSL Executive Director-in-Charge VK Pandey at BSL's Cricket Stadium in Sector-4. On the occasion, CGM Inc (Finance & Accounts) S. Rangani, CGM Inc (Town Services) BS Popli, CGM Inc (Personnel) Pawan Kumar, CGM (Personnel) HM Jha, other senior officers, Cricket players and cricket lovers were present. Sharing information COC BSL MK Dhan said a total of nine teams from Bhilai Steel Plant, Rourkela Steel Plant, Durgapur Steel Plant, ISP Burnpur, VISL Bhadravati, RINL Visakhapatnam, JSW Bellary and Tata Steel are participating in the championship including Bokaro Steel Plant. In the match played on 21st February, Bokaro Steel Plant defeated Rourkela Steel Plant by 9 wickets, JSW Bellary defeated RINL Visakhapatnam by 22 runs and Tata Steel defeated Bhilai Steel Plant by 74 runs. The final of the competition will be played on February 25.

 

XISS, World Vision India sign MoU

                                                                                 

Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, and World Vision India (WVI), Ranchi, have signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) for a partnership of one year (February 2022-April 2023) for community engagement of students from the Rural Management Programme in 10 community slums of the city. In these communities, volunteers will extend their suppot to the student to introduce them to the communities, especially Community based organization (SDC) and children Groups formed by the organization.Under this partnership, students pursuing the Post Graduate Rural Management Course will devote their afternoon session in 10 communities of WVI AP Ranchi Urban for Urban Field Work (UFW) in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Trimester which is essential requirement of the course. These 10 Slums are Kusai, Madhukam, Hatma, Lowadih, Dibadhi, Bada Ghagra, Mahadev tola, Lohrakocha, Mahuwatoli and Samlong.

SCS celebrates Intl Mother Language Day

 

Surendranath Centenary School organized a special event on International Mother Language Day celebrated every year on 21st February. Children from Kindergarten to class VIII  participated with all enthusiasm. In the Junior section parents narrated a story in his/her mother tongue. Stories were translated by the children. Students of I & 2 were asked to write the moral. Class 3 to 5 were asked to write the review. The stories were told in different languages like Bengali,Oriya, Nagpuri,Tamil and Punjabi .Classes VI to VIII were prescribed few books  available in the school library on regional Languages,  they were asked to read and give a book review of the same, it was quite interesting and enriching, children learned more about the local dialects and Languages. They came to know about the rich culture of their state. Principal Samita Sinha said that Languages are the mirror of the society and is an essential part of our country that tends to promote nationalism.

 

Pfizer supports Tata Trusts Cancer Care Programme

 

Pfizer today announced that its support to Tata Trusts Cancer Care programme since 2020 has helped in enrolling and screening 70,000 people for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and Cancer across Assam, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh. Pfizer partnered with Tata Trusts’ Special Purpose Vehicle, Alamelu Charitable Foundation (ACF) for their Cancer Care Programme to help set up health and wellness kiosks, facilitate community screening and a virtual patient helpdesk, and assist in training of ASHA and Anganwadi workers in Diphu and Silchar in Assam and, additionally, in Ranchi, Jharkhand, and Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
