The ashes of Samajwadi Party founder and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav were immersed in the Ganga here on Monday.
His son and party chief Akhilesh Yadav daughter in-law Dimple Yadav, Ram Gopal Yadav and Dharmendra Yadav were present for the immersion of his ashes. The ashes were immersed at the Namami Gange Ghat as the closure of upper Ganga canal has caused the level of water at Har Ki Paidi to drop considerably. The Yadav family members also took a dip in the Ganga after immersing the ashes.
