In a heartening display of commitment to social upliftment and skill enhancement, Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF) and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) recently joined hands to celebrate the achievements of 69 trainees at the DIKSHa center in Bokaro, Jharkhand. The valediction ceremony, held with much fervor, highlighted the transformative journey of these individuals who underwent placement-linked skill training under DBF's flagship project, DIKSHa (Dalmia Institute of Knowledge and Skill Harnessing).

The event saw the felicitation of 26 trainees in the Electrical Trade and 43 in the General Duty Assistant Trade, marking the culmination of their rigorous training. Notably, nine trainees have already secured promising positions at esteemed companies such as Honda and Hero Motorcycle Manufacturing Company in Bangalore, showcasing the tangible impact of the program on employment prospects. Additionally, two trainees have seized opportunities at VOLTAS, Bokaro, further underscoring the efficacy of DIKSHa in facilitating meaningful job placements.

Recognizing the importance of practical proficiency, 17 trainees from the Electrical Trade were equipped with Schneider tools kits, aimed at honing their technical skills for enhanced performance in the field. The presence of Mr. Philomon Billung, District Development Manager, NABARD, as the Chief Guest, added prestige to the occasion, reaffirming the collaborative efforts towards empowering marginalized youth and women.

In his address, Priya Renjan, Unit Head of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, Bokaro, emphasized the organization's holistic approach towards skill development, encompassing financial literacy, digital acumen, and essential soft skills. He expressed gratitude to SAIL-Bokaro and NABARD for their invaluable partnership, underscoring the collective commitment to nurturing talent and fostering self-reliance among the youth.

Since its inception in May 2023, the Bokaro DIKSHa center has been a beacon of hope for youth in the region, offering diverse training courses ranging from Assistant Electrician to Customer Relationship Management. The upcoming addition of courses in mechanical fitter and electronics further reflects the center's dynamic approach to meet evolving industry demands.

The valediction ceremony served not only as a celebration of achievement but also as a testament to the transformative power of skill development in shaping brighter futures for individuals and communities alike.
