Aurobindo Society has initiated a nationwide movement to embed Indian Knowledge Systems into school education, hosting the first International Conference on Integrating IKS in School Education. At the event, the Society unveiled India’s first IKS Charter, a national framework providing guidelines for responsible, research-backed and classroom-ready integration of IKS. The Charter outlines principles, curriculum pathways, age-appropriate modules, assessments and teacher-preparation approaches.
Speaking at the event, Sambhrant Sharma said the movement aims to bring India’s civilisational wisdom into the core of schooling in a practical and future-ready manner. Chief Guest Bajrang Bagra (VHP) praised the Charter as an essential guideline for safe and effective implementation. The event was organised inpartnership with Maharishi International University (USA), Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, Bhartiya Shiksha Board, and Future Icons.
