The Indian Army’s continuous outreach and mentoring efforts in the remote areas of West Siang have yielded yet another proud milestone. Three young aspirants from the Aalo region — Jari Bagra, Toni Doji and Yumper
Nada — have successfully cleared the Agniveer selection process and will now proceed to the Recruiting Office, Jorhat on 04 December 2025 for enrolment into the Assam Regiment. These youths, hailing from the villages of Along and Basar, overcame geographical isolation and limited access to resources through sheer determination and disciplined preparation.
Their achievement reflects the impact of the Indian Army’s sustained guidance, structured training support, and its commitment to empowering deserving talent from far-flung areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
To honour their remarkable accomplishment and encourage them as they step into a life of service and responsibility, a felicitation ceremony was conducted on 03 December 2025 to celebrate their hard work and inspire other young individuals across Arunachal to pursue their dreams with similar resolve.
The Indian Army remains dedicated to nurturing potential in border communities, ensuring that opportunity reaches even the most remote corners. The success of these three youths stands as a testament to what courage, mentorship and persistence can achieve.
