Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s roadshow in Bihar on Tuesday turned into a massive show of public enthusiasm and political strength. Thousands of residents gathered along the streets of Siwan and Gopalganj to greet her with chants of “Bihar has gained momentum; people demand the NDA government again.”
Beginning from Badka Gaon and stretching to Tarwara in Siwan, the roadshow saw people showering flowers and waving party flags as the Delhi Chief Minister’s convoy passed through the packed lanes. Later in the day, she led another roadshow in Gopalganj, where crowds of party workers, supporters, and residents joined in what the BJP described as one of the most energetic campaign events of the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that Bihar has left behind its past of “Jungle Raj” and is now moving forward under the light of development and good governance. “The NDA government has brought progress to every corner, from roads and flyovers to colleges, hospitals, railway stations, and airports. Development is visible in every sector,” she said.
The Delhi Chief Minister’s speech was marked by sharp criticism of the opposition, particularly those associated with corruption scandals of the past. “Those who once devoured fodder meant for cattle are now trying to feed the people lies,” she said in a pointed attack, without naming specific leaders.
“The people of Bihar are wise. They have seen the darkness of corruption and lawlessness. They will not be deceived again.”
The Chief Minister contrasted the NDA’s “model of governance” with what she called the “era of fear and stagnation” under previous regimes. “The lantern symbol once represented light, but under their rule, Bihar was plunged into darkness of crime, caste politics, and misrule,” she said.
Appealing directly to voters, Rekha Gupta urged residents of Siwan and Gopalganj to ensure a strong mandate for the NDA in the upcoming polls. “Every vote for the lotus is a vote for Bihar’s continued progress,” she said. “The people’s love and trust are our greatest strength. Your support is the energy that drives our mission of development and prosperity,” she added.
Throughout the roadshows, the atmosphere remained electric. Crowds chanted slogans such as “Bihar pakad chuka hai raftaar, janta maange phir se NDA sarkar” (Bihar has gained momentum, people demand NDA government again). The Chief Minister frequently stopped her vehicle to wave and greet residents, receiving garlands from women and youth standing along the route.
In her closing remarks at Gopalganj, Delhi Chief Minister thanked the people for their overwhelming response. “This affection and faith are proof that Bihar wants development, not deception,” she said. “The people trust the NDA because they have seen results, not rhetoric,” she added.
