Dr Rajib Mukhapadhyay, Country Head and Director (Finance) at SkyPower Global and Co-founder of the social welfare organisation Le Rythme. has been honoured with the prestigious ET Young Industry Leaders 2025 Award.
The award, which recognises excellence in social impact, inclusive growth, and nation-building, was presented by acclaimed Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu at an exclusive ceremony held at The Grand, New Delhi.
The evening brought together distinguished industry leaders, policymakers, and transformative social change agents. A highly respected academic and global finance leader, Dr Mukhapadhyay is an alumnus of IIM Kolkata and a Fellow Member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
With over 30 years of international leadership experience, he has significantly influenced the financial frameworks of global multinational organisations. His deep expertise covers multi-billion-dollar project financing, treasury operations, mergers and acquisitions, enterprise risk management, and long-term financial planning.
During his tenure as Regional Treasurer at Alstom, Dr Mukhapadhyay oversaw treasury and governance across 15 countries, driving operational efficiency and financial compliance at a global level.
Earlier, at GAIL (India) Limited, he spearheaded one of India’s pioneering digital finance initiatives —implementing the nation’s first 100 per cent corporate electronic banking platform, a milestone that modernised the company’s financial systems and set a precedent for digital transformation in the public sector. Beyond his corporate accomplishments, Dr Mukhapadhyay is profoundly dedicated to social development.
As Co-founder of Le Rythme, an organisation established in memory of his late wife, he has championed large-scale initiatives aimed at empowering marginalised communities through skill development, livelihood generation and vocational training.
Under his leadership, Le Rythme has provided structured skill-building programs for underprivileged youth, women, and specially-abled individuals, enabling them to secure employment and achieve long-term financial stability.
Le Rythme’s work—spanning multiple states across India—has created thousands of job-linked opportunities, often in collaboration with government agencies, industry partners, and CSR organisations. The NGO continues to expand its reach with a mission to build an inclusive workforce and uplift vulnerable communities through sustainable development.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Mukhapadhyay noted that the award reaffirms his commitment to bridging socio-economic gaps through meaningful and scalable skill development initiatives. He dedicated the accolade to his wife, Late Smt. Rini Mukherjee, a celebrated singer and the inspiring force behind Le Rythme. Her compassion, vision, and lifelong dedication to helping the disadvantaged remain central to the organisation’s ethos and impact.
Dr. Rajib Mukhapadhyay’s journey—marked by corporate success, academic excellence, and humanitarian leadership—serves as a motivating example for young professionals and future changemakers. His work demonstrates that leadership grounded in empathy, purpose, and social responsibility has the power to transform communities and contribute significantly to nation-building.
