Telangana Congress criticises Kishan Reddy

Telangana Congress official spokesperson Bandi Sudhakar Goud strongly criticised Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, saying it is laughable for him to talk about the implementation of the Congress Government’s six guarantees.

As part of the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign, Bandi Sudhakar Goud conducted a door-to-door campaign in Rahmath Nagar, Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government has been sincerely implementing every promise made to the people during the last Assembly elections. But Kishan Reddy, who has eyes but refuses to see the truth, is making senseless remarks out of frustration.”

Goud questioned Kishan Reddy asking the Union Minister that the BJP has been in power for 11 long years — what funds or development has he brought to the Jubilee Hills constituency, which falls under the latters Parliamentary limits? “Let the people of these slum areas be the witnesses. Tell us, Mr Kishan Reddy, what have you done for them?” Goud sought to know.

Bandi Sudhakar Goud demanded that Kishan Reddy answer the public before daring to ask for their votes again. He further added, “Before coming to power, the BJP government at the Centre deceived the people by promising to deposit `15 lakh in every poor man’s bank account. Was that promise ever fulfilled? The answer is clear — it was a total lie.”

He also criticized the BRS government, saying that though it ruled Telangana for 10 years, it failed to bring any meaningful change to the lives of the poor in Jubilee Hills.

Bandi Sudhakar Goud highlighted that ever since the Congress government came to power, it has been delivering on its commitments which include free bus travel for women, subsidized LPG cylinders, free electricity up to 200 units, distribution of new ration cards and creation of over 70,000 new government jobs.

He appealed to the voters to reject opportunistic leaders who remember the people only during elections, and to stand by the Congress Party, which is implementing the guarantees and working for the welfare of all sections of society, Goud said through a Press statement.
