The National Institute of open Schooling (NIOS) has now officially released the Class 12 (Senior Secondary) results of the April-May 2025 examination through a dedicated portal- results.nios.ac.in. The students can now check their respective performance including the marks lost and passed in subjects as well as their aggregate qualifying status.
In case of the online result, learners can get their provisional mark sheets instantly and pursue later at study centres to get original copies. Those students who want to avail re-evaluation or verification of their class 12 results can do so online after the necessary information in this regard are declared by the NIOS authorities.
How to download NIOS class 12 marksheet?
Here is how students can access their NIOS class 12 marksheets for April 2025 session:
Head to the official site: results.nios.ac.in and click “Public Examination Result†under the April/May 2025 session.
Input your 12-digit Enrollment Number and type the shown captcha code, then click Submit.
The result sheet—with subject-wise theory and practical marks, total marks, percentage, and pass/fail status—appears on-screen.
Click on Download PDF to save or Print for a hard copy.
Alternate ways to check result
In case students are unable to access their results from the official NIOS website, they can try the following alternative methods:
SMS: Send NIOS12(Enrollment Number) to 5676750 for your result via SMS.
DigiLocker: Log into DigiLocker and retrieve your verified digital marksheet from the education documents section.
NIOS class 12 post‑result procedures
After downloading the results, students can apply for verification and re-evaluation of their NIOS class 12 results.
Marks verification
In case you find any mistake (e.g. name, subject marks), apply corrections to the NIOS portal within 30 days of announcement of results. Rs. 50 per correction – fee.
Rechecking & Revaluation
In case you are not content with your outcomes, you may file an appeal to recheck or revaluation. To recheck, you are required to submit the application within a period of 15 days after the result has been announced and the related fee is Rs 300 per subject. In case you will choose revaluation, the charge will be 800 per subject. However, be informed that after the process is done, the updated marks either higher or lower would be taken as final and no alterations would be allowed.
Improvement Exams
Those students who want to upgrade their performance could also enroll in improvement exams in the portal. The final marksheet will be loaded with the better of the two scores.
