Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded US President Donald Trump for what he called the "historic success" of the Gaza peace plan during a phone conversation on Thursday, adding that India and the US were making "good progress" in their ongoing trade negotiations.
In a post on X, Modi said, "Spoke to my friend, President Trump and congratulated him on the success of the historic Gaza peace plan. Also reviewed the good progress achieved in trade negotiations."
He added that both leaders agreed to remain in close touch over the coming weeks.
