In view of excessive rush in New Delhi and Anand Vihar Railway stations, Delhi division of Northern Railway has decided to impose restrictions on parcel handling activities at New Delhi railway station (PF 12 only) and Anand Vihar terminal (PF 2 & 3 only) from November 8 to 10 for trains originating and departing from PF 12 to 16 at New Delhi and PF 2 &3 at Anand Vihar Terminal to ensure safety of passengers and to avoid any untoward incident.. According to Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, personal luggage may be allowed in the passenger coaches only and booking of registered newspapers and magazines shall be permitted after observing all commercial formalities. Moreover, the stacking of parcels at platforms for trains originating and departing from PF 12 to 16 at NDLS and PF 2 & 3 at ANVT and cross movement of the trolleys from one end of the platform to another end are also prohibited during the said period.
