Ahead of the Delhi assembly elections, Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday jumped in the election fray holding rallies and roadshows in different parts of the national Capital, calling AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘coward’ and ‘corrupt’ while her brother and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi accused the AAP convenor of lying.

Following her roadshow in Nangloi Jat, Gandhi, who has made her appearance for the first time in campaigning for the Congress for the state polls later she held a public meeting in Mustafabad.

Addressing a poll rally in Mustafabad, Vadra said, "The Constitution gave you (people of India) the right to vote. You, the prime minister, politician and everyone else have this right. This vote gives you the right to choose the government. Through this vote, you can strengthen the country and the Constitution."

She said that there is no difference between PM Modi and Arvind Kejriwal, calling them both cowards and corrupt. “PM Modi blames former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal blames Modi. Both of them do not take any responsibility,” Priyanka said, while addressing a public gathering.  The party is hoping that Priyanka 's campaign will attract more women and young voters to the party.

Meanwhile, Gandhi hit out at AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of lying and making false promises and said that the man who came in a small car promising to change politics ended up in the "sheesh mahal" parking lot.

Launching a stinging attack on the former Delhi chief minister, Gandhi alleged that he did nothing for the people of the national capital in the past 10 years. The former Congress chief also slammed the BJP, accusing it of spreading hatred and violence in society and said it is only the Congress that talks of giving "bhaagidaari" (share) and equal rights to all irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

Gandhi showed a picture of 'Team Kejriwal', saying none of his 'Navratans' (nine gems) are from the OBCs, minorities, Dalits and tribals. “All belong to the upper castes,” he said.

"Kejriwal had claimed to bring a change in Delhi politics. But the biggest ever corruption -- liquor scam -- was done by Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia.

Five years ago, he said that he would take a dip in Yamuna and drink its water. Forget about Yamuna water, you should drink the water made available to jhuggis here," he said.

"Your (Kejriwal's) words are hollow.

He said he will protect the Dalits and minorities but I want to ask you who is standing with you. The Congress or Kejriwal?" the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha asked at the rally.
