A day after Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee warned the BJP Government and the Election Commission, saying she would “shake the nation” if she was hurt by their acts, State Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday launched a fierce attack, saying days were coming when the people of Bengal would shake her out of power.
“Her language deserves mention scared of losing power after a clean electoral roll is published, the Chief Minister has descended to using filthy roadside languages. She has said hila ke rakh denge which means she will shake the entire nation but she does not know that the people are so much fed up with her and they hate her so much that they have now decided to shake her out of power in 2026 elections there will be nothing called Trinamool Congress after 2026,” Adhikari said in a massive rally at Haldia in East Midnapore.
The BJP leader referring to Banerjee’s threat that she would after the 2026 elections tour entire country and expose the BJP before the people said, “she is free to go to any place in India after 2026 when she will not remain a Chief Minister even if he tours the entire country no one will believe her in fact she had tried to campaign in Uttar Pradesh for the Samajwadi Party went to Varanasi and visited the Kashi Viswanath Temple but wherever she went the SP was defeated.”
Calling for a Parivartan (change) in Bengal, Adhikari put forward his party’s “development-based agenda,” saying, “When the BJP comes to power we will bring back the Tatas who were driven out by Mamata Banerjee. We will ensure that the people get their food, roof and job back. We will ensure women’s security and respect. We will ensure that the SSC exams are held on time and without any scam.”
Comparing the Trinamool Congress with a “stinking pond,” he said, “while the BJP is an ocean being the biggest political party in the world with 13 crore members much larger than the population of Bengal, which is 11 crore, the TMC is a tiny stinking pond though they call themselves All India Trinamool Congress.” The BJP was destined to come to power in Bengal this time round, he said. “When we could take Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi — by ousting a corrupt Chief Minister like Kejriwal — and Bihar, then Bengal should not be a problem for us and we will definitely win it,” he said.
