Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has been actively engaged in campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections of late, took time out of his busy schedule on Tuesday to perform ‘gau seva’ at the Gorakhnath temple’s cowshed. He visited the cowshed, inquired about the well-being of cows, and personally fed them roti and jaggery.
The chief minister reached Gorakhpur following his campaign in Bihar on Monday. Prior to embarking on a fresh campaign trail in western Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning, he offered prayers to Guru Gorakhnath at the Gorakhnath Temple and paid his respects at the ‘samadhi’ site of his guru, Brahmaleen Mahant Avaidyanath.
Subsequently, the CM visited the cowshed at the temple and spent some time there. Walking around the cowshed, he called out to the cows by names like ‘Shyama’, ‘Gauri’, ‘Ganga’, and ‘Bhola’. He gathered information from the cowshed workers about the health and nutrition of all the cows and issued necessary directives for special care during the summer season.
