Opposition leaders glorify mafia dons: CM Yogi

Wednesday, 17 April 2024 | PNS | Lucknow

Hitting out at the Congress and Samajwadi Party, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that the opposition leaders glorified criminals and mafia dons and visited their homes on their deaths to read ‘Fatiha’. He asked people to read ‘Fatiha’ for their brand of politics through their votes.

He was addressing public meetings in favour of BJP candidates from Nagina and Kairana Lok Sabha seats, Om Kumar and Pradeep Chaudhary respectively.

Despite the scorching heat, a large number of people gathered to see and hear Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Tomorrow is the birthday of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram. This is a historic occasion, when for the first time after a hiatus of 500 years, Ram Lalla will celebrate his birthday at his birthplace. Our generations are blessed to be witnessing the celebrations,” he said.

Continuing his attack on the Congress and Samajwadi Party, CM Yogi said it was because of these parties that the revered deity had to give proof of his birthplace.

“They tried to jeopardise our faith, but Sanatan Samaj was resolute. It was determined to build a grand temple at the birthplace of Lord Ram and the mission was successful because of PM Modi,” he remarked.

He added: “The Congress was responsible for Baba Saheb’s   electoral loss, while after assuming power in 2012, the SP had said that they would get the Dalit monuments demolished. The Congress and SP-BSP have been stuck in a rut which they can’t get out of.”

The CM said that the leaders of these parties do not mind visiting the houses of mafia dons and criminals.

“But if an innocent Hindu becomes the victim of an accident, not a single word of condolence comes from them. We greet people with ‘Ram-Ram’ and criminals and mafia dons with 'Ram Naam Satya’,” he added.
