Ranchi Police on high alert for Ram Navami

Ranchi Police are on high alert regarding Ram Navami to prevent any untoward incident to take place on Wednesday in the State Capital.

The police inspected the route through which the procession will take out on the day of Ram Navami on Wednesday in the city. Kotwali DySP Prakash Soy carried out drone surveillance in the Main Road, Hindpiri and Daily Market areas of the State Capital.  During this time it was revealed that stones were kept on the roofs of eight houses located in Hindpiri and Daily Market area. Police have sent notices to all eight house owners.

Kotwali DySP said that the landlords have been asked to remove the stones from the roof as soon as possible. If there is any dispute during the procession, the person on whose roof the stones were found will be held accountable.

Ranchi SSP, Chandan Sinha has ordered the City SP and Rural SP to roam around the entire area and identify sensitive places and deploy soldiers there. If any disturbance occurs in any area, strict action will be taken against the station in-charge there, he added.

At the same time the policemen sitting in the city control room have been ordered to keep a close watch on the activities of the people in the entire city. If you get any information from any area, immediately inform the local police station.

Changes have been made in the traffic system in the city due to the immersion of Chaiti Durga Puja and Ram Navami. The changes made in the traffic system are in effect from 4 am on Tuesday. Entry of heavy vehicles in the urban area will be prohibited from 4 am on April 16 to 6 am on April 17.

All types of heavy goods vehicles will reach their destination via Ring Road in the State Capital on the day of Ramnavami. During this period, normal operations will be prohibited from Kishori Yadav Chowk to Upper Bazaar, Mahavir Mandir Chowk, Shaheed Chowk towards Upper Bazaar, Mahavir Mandir Chowk, Subhash Chowk towards Upper Bazaar Mahavir Mandir Chowk due to the Ram Navami procession. At the same time, there will be a ban on entry of heavy vehicles in the urban area from 8 am on April 17 to 4 am on April 18 to provide a smooth traffic system for the citizens of the State Capital..
